ብርቄ ሀይሎም በሴቶች 1500 ሜትር ለብራሰልሱ የዳይመንድ ሊግ ፍፃሜ ማለፏን አረጋግጣለች

የ2026 ዓ.ም. ዋንዳ ዳይመንድ ሊግ የፊታችን ሴፕቴምበር አራት እና አምስት በቤልጂየም ብራስልስ በሚካሄደው የፍፃሜ ፉክክር ይጠናቀቃል፡፡ ከፍፃሜው ውድድር በፊት ከሚካሄዱት 14 ውድድሮች እስካሁን 11ዱ በተጠናቀቁበት የዘንድሮ ዳይመንድ ሊግ በሴቶች 1500 ሜትር ኢትዮጵያዊቷ ብርቄ ሀይሎም ከወዲሁ ለብራስልሱ ፍፃሜ ማለፏን አረጋግጣለች፡፡ ብርቄ በነጥብ ፉክክሩ በአንደኛ ደረጃ ላይ ያስቀመጣትን እና ከወዲሁ ለፍፃሜው መብቃቷን ያረጋገጠችበትን 23 ነጥብ በቻይና ሻንግሀይ-ኬኪያኦ (1ኛ)፣ በቻይና ሻመን (2ኛ)፣ እንዲሁም በካታር ዶሀ (1ኛ) በመውጣት አሰባስባለች፡፡ አቢ ካልድዌል ከአውስትራሊያ፣ ጆርጂያ ሀንተር ቤል ከግሬት ብሪቴይን፣ ጄሲካ ሀል ከአውስትራሊያ፣ እና ኬንያዊቷ ዶርከስ ኢዎይ ብርቄን ተከትለው ከወዲሁ ለፍፃሜው ማለፋቸውን ያረጋገጡ ሌሎች አትሌቶች ናቸው፡፡

አስር አትሌቶች ለፍፃሜው በሚያልፉበት የዳይመንድ ሊግ የሴቶች 1500 ሜትር የነጥብ ፉክክር የእስካሁን ደረጃ ሌላኛዋ ኢትዮጵያዊት ሳሮን በርሔ በአስረኛ ደረጃ ላይ ተቀምጣ ትገኛለች፡፡ ቀሪዎቹን አምስት ቦታዎች ይዘው የሚያልፉት አትሌቶች ከፍፃሜው ውድድር በፊት በቀረው እና እሁድ ኦገስት 23-2026 በፖላንድ ሲሌሲያ ከሚካሄደው የሴቶች 1500 ሜትር የመጨረሻ የዳይመንድ ሊግ የነጥብ ፉክክር የሚታወቁ ይሆናል።

Birke Haylom through to Brussels Diamond League 1500m Final

The 2026 Wanda Diamond League will conclude with the final competition scheduled for September 4 and 5 in Brussels, Belgium. With 11 of the 14 pre-final events already completed in this year’s series, Ethiopia’s Birke Haylom has already secured her spot in the Brussels final for the women’s 1500m. She accumulated the 23 points that placed her at the top of the standings—and guaranteed her qualification for the final—by finishing first in Shanghai-Keqiao (China) and Doha (Qatar), and second in Xiamen (China). Abbey Caldwell (Australia), Georgia Bell (Great Britain), Jessica Hull (Australia), and Dorcus Ewoi (Kenya) are among the other athletes who have already secured their spots in the final.

In the Diamond League women’s 1500m points race, from which ten athletes will advance to the final, another Ethiopian, Saron Berhe, currently holds the tenth position. The athletes who will secure the remaining five qualifying spots will be determined during the final Diamond League points race for the women’s 1500m, scheduled to take place in Silesia, Poland, on Sunday, August 23, 2026.
