ኢትዮጵያውያኑ ኬና ቱፋ እና አለምናት ዋለ በሴቶች 3000 ሜትር መሰናክል ለዳይመንድ ሊግ ፍፃሜ የሚያበቃ ደረጃ ላይ ይገኛሉ።

በ2026 ዓ.ም. ዋንዳ ዳይመንድ ሊግ በሴቶች 3000 ሜትር መሰናክል ለብራስልሱ ፍፃሜ ለመብቃት እየተደረገ ባለው የነጥብ ፉክክር ሶስት አትሌቶች ከወዲሁ ለፍፃሜው ማለፋቸውን አረጋግጠዋል፡፡ ቱኒሲያዊቷ ማርዋ ቡዛያኒ (25 ነጥብ)፣ ኬንያዊቷ ፌይዝ ቼሮቲች (21 ነጥብ)፣ እና ኡጋዳዊቷ ፔሩዝ ቼሙታይ (20 ነጥብ) በመያዝ ማለፋቸውን ያረጋገጡ ሲሆን ኢትዮጵያውያኑ ኬና ቱፋ (14 ነጥብ) እና አለምናት ዋለ (7 ነጥብ) ለብራስልሱ ፍፃሜ በሚያበቃቸው ደረጃ ላይ ይገኛሉ።

በአጠቃላይ 10 አትሌቶች ለብራስልሱ የፍፃሜ ውድድር በሚያልፉበት የሴቶች 3000 ሜትር መሰናክል ውድድር ኬና ቱፋ በሻንግሀይ (ቻይና) 5 ነጥብ፣ በዢያመን (ቻይና) 4 ነጥብ እና በስቶክሆልም (ስዊድን) 5 ነጥብ በማግኘት በአጠቃላይ 14 ነጥብ ይዛ በ5ኛ ደረጃ ላይ ተቀምጣለች። አለምናት ዋለ በሻንግሀይ (ቻይና) 4 ነጥብ፣ በዢያመን (ቻይና) 1 ነጥብ እና በስቶክሆልም (ስዊድን) 2 ነጥብ በማግኘት በአጠቃላይ 7 ነጥብ ይዛ በ6ኛ ደረጃ ላይ ትገኛለች፡፡

የ2026 ዳይመንድ ሊግ የሴቶች የ3000 ሜትር መሰናክል ውድድር ቀሪ ሁለት ውድድሮች በሎዛን (ስዊዘርላንድ) አርብ ኦገስት 21-2026 እና በዙሪክ (ስዊዘርላንድ)ሐሙስ ኦገስት 27- 2026 ይካሄዳሉ። ኢትዮጵያውያኑ ኬና ቱፋ እና አለምናት ዋለ አሁን በነጥብ ደረጃ ሰንጠረዡ ላይ ያሉበትን ቦታ ለማስጠበቅ በነዚህ ውድድሮች ላይ እንደሚሳተፉ ይጠበቃል፡፡

In the 2026 Wanda Diamond League, three athletes have already secured their spots in the women’s 3000m steeplechase final in Brussels based on the ongoing points race: Tunisia’s Marwa Bouzayani (25 points), Kenya’s Faith Cherotich (21 points), and Uganda’s Peruth Chemutai (20 points). Meanwhile, Ethiopians Kenna Tufa (14 points) and Alemnat Walle (7 points) currently hold positions that would qualify them for the Brussels final.

In the women’s 3000m steeplechase, an event where a total of 10 athletes qualify for the final in Brussels, Kena Tufa currently holds 5th place with a total of 14 points, earned by securing 5 points in Shanghai (China), 4 points in Xiamen (China), and 5 points in Stockholm (Sweden). Alemnat Walle sits in 6th place with a total of 7 points, having earned 4 points in Shanghai (China), 1 point in Xiamen (China), and 2 points in Stockholm (Sweden).

The remaining two races of the 2026 Diamond League women’s 3000m steeplechase will take place in Lausanne (Switzerland) on Friday, August 21, 2026, and in Zurich (Switzerland) on Thursday, August 27, 2026. Ethiopian athletes Kena Tufa and Alemnat Walle are expected to participate in these events to maintain their current standings on the leaderboard to qualify for the final.
